Wondering how the Sacramento housing market is shaping up for spring? According to the latest available stats from the California Association of Realtors, January ended with 303 home sales, a 15.6% increase from last year. The median sales price reached $465,000, a 3.1% increase from last year. The Active Listing Inventory decreased 24.3% from last year with 383 active listings. Listings were on the market for a median of 24 days and of those listings, 27.4% underwent a price reduction.
So what does this mean? The latest stats reveal a blooming Sacramento housing market, marked by rising sales and a slight rise in median sales price. However, the supply of available homes is somewhat limited. Sellers may benefit from the uptick in prices and sales, while buyers should be prepared for potential competition and consider acting swiftly in this active market. Now more than ever, it’s important to have an experienced Realtor to guide you through the home buying or selling process. Give me a call today! I would be happy to answer any real estate questions that you might have.
